1 Know the basics
Before you walk into the interview, make sure you have a solid understanding of the basics of banking, such as the types of products and services, the regulatory environment, the financial statements, and the key performance indicators. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be able to explain the core concepts and principles of banking in a clear and concise way. You should also research the specific bank and role you’re applying for and tailor your answers accordingly.

This is very limited. Knowing about the bank is one thing but the main skill which I believe is the most important is communicating effectively.

One thing I've found useful is aligning with the principles and the culture of the company. Respecting clients enough to be honest and providing them with enough information to make an informed decision.

Para ingressar no MF seria ideal ter uma certificação mínima(que seja de entrada), assim você conhecerá os serviços e produtos básicos para se sair bem e ser aprovado.

4 Ask smart questions
One of the best ways to impress the hiring manager is to ask smart and relevant questions at the end of the interview. This shows that you’re interested in the job, the bank, and the industry, and that you’ve done your homework. You should avoid asking questions that are too general, obvious, or personal, such as how much the salary is, what the working hours are, or how long the hiring process is. You should ask questions that demonstrate your curiosity, enthusiasm, and knowledge, such as what are the main challenges and opportunities facing the bank, what are the expectations and goals for the role, or how do you measure success in the team.

Asking smart questions is great, but put extra emphasis on smart. You should walk into any interview knowing what the company you're interviewing does & what the role you're interviewing for is at a basic level. Read the entire listing, check their website, understand their market and product. Your questions are not just important to "impress" but to grasp the full details of the organization and the role, asking things you could know before is a disservice to the hiring manager & a waste of your time that you could be spending digging deeper than surface level. Before the interview, consider reaching out to hiring managers or prospective team members for 1-on-1 insights. Make sure the interview focuses on you IN the role, not "the role".

5 Follow up
After the interview, you should send a thank you email to the hiring manager within 24 hours. This is a simple but effective way to express your appreciation, reiterate your interest, and remind them of your qualifications. You should also mention something specific that you discussed during the interview, such as a question, a comment, or a feedback. You should also ask about the next steps and when you can expect to hear back from them. You should keep your email brief, polite, and professional, and avoid sending multiple follow-ups or sounding desperate.
