"TOUCH of Southampton" is a Bavaria 41 Exclusive sailing yacht manufactured in winter 1996 and launched in spring 1997. She is a "one-of-a-kind" because her current and sole owners did not want opening windows in the hull as planned but decided instead for additional cupboards in the galley, an extra book shelf and 6 small cupboards in the master cabin, factory fitted. Renowned Hallberg-Rassy 352, good sailing characteristics with several innovations. The HR352 of which over 800 have been built is a hugely popular vessel for the sailor looking for a solid and comfortable sailing yacht. The center co*ckpit is sheltered and adds to the comfort at sea, the winches are all within easy reach of the helmsman and the semi-fixed spray hood provides a comfortable sitting/working area. The port locker is deep and spacious where a lot fits in, the gangways foredecks are wide and free of obstacles, on the bow is an electric anchor winch. The interior is comfortable with directly to starboard is the L-shaped galley with ample storage cabinets, gimballed 3-burner stove with oven and sink and running w/k water. To port is the navigation nook with lots of drawers/cabinets and classic marifones. Also here is access to the engine room and the "owners cabin with the typical Hallberg-rassy bed on both sides so that even under incline there is always a good sleeping place, ideal for when you have a longer passage. The saloon has double longitudinal benches with storage space behind the folding backrest which can also be used as a sea bed, in the bow is a lockable toilet with holding tank and wet cell and double V-bed with again an awful lot of storage space. The Hallberg-Rassy 352 is not for nothing a thoroughbred of Hallberg-Rassy as a ship designed for longer stays on board, but also lends itself perfectly as a weekender.
