This guide will help you defeat Malicos and find the secrets inside the Tomb of Kujet on Dathomir, in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order!
The secrets in the Tomb of Kujet
First room in the Dathomir’s Tomb of Kujet is a duel with a few Nightbrothers. After the fight, climb on the right side and pass through the corridor to get some secrets from this room.
Next, pass through the narrow hole in the wall on the end opposite to the Tomb’s entrance. A cinematic scene will play after you exit that narrow passage.
This is the room where you face Malicos. Before you start that sequence, though. Pick up the few things available around you. Let BD scan the wall on the right, climb on the left side to collect a Sense Echoes.
Boss fight: Defeat Malicos the rogue jedi
The fight is rather more enjoyable compared to the giant bird (the Gorgana) or the Ninth Sister on Kashyyyk.
Malicos loves combos. The fight against him is a fight of waiting for your moment. Trying to deplete his stamina is the best mechanic I know and use.
He uses several special blockable attacks and a few that are unblockable. You will always easily determine if an attack can be blocked or not. The ones that you have to move away from happen while Malicos’ body glows in bright red color.
Deflecting Malicos’ normal and special blockable attacks depletes his stamina. Attacking him does the same, but is more risky on higher difficulties. He does a Force Push from time to time.
Once his stamina is down you can strike him. Make the best out of those short moments and deal the most devastating attacks you have picked for your Cal.
In the later stages of the fight Malicos will start throwing rocks at you. If you time it correctly and aim precisely you can turn this attack against him – throw back the rock at him to damage and destabilize him for a brief moment. Your other option is to roll away just as he throws the rocks in your direction.
Near the end of the fight Malicos will add a flurry of blows short combo after his jump-and-hit unavoidable special attack. Be careful of that. He only adds the flurry later on. In the beginning of the fight you can easily roll to the side and hit him hard while he is recovering from the jump.
When Malicos throws his saber into the air and leaps forward towards you, this whole combo of attacks is blockable and you can avoid all the damage by either using a well-timed Push or simply deflecting his lightsaber throws.
Also shortly before you defeat Malicos you will start receiving some assistance from the Nightsister Merrin.
When the fight is over and Malicos is defeated and burried forever in the Tomb of Kujet, a short cinematic will reveal that Marrin is going to join your crew. She’s quite fun character to talk to and has interesting stories to tell.
Exploring the Tomb of Kujet after the Malicos boss fight
After you defeat Malicos, your return to your default objective – retrieve the Astrium from the Tomb of Kujet. You can save your progress right there on the circular arena after the fight and before you continue forward.
Head to the door with the red light around it. A magical stone bridge will start appearing when you approach the end of the platform.
Continue forward until you reach the Astrium at the end of this passage.
A cinematic will play and your next objective will take you to Bogano. First, though, you have some more fighting to do to get out of the Dathomir Tomb and reach your ship.
On your way back to the Mantis you will still have to fight some living corpses (if you have rested on your way in). Merrin is on your side now, but the enemies still remain (they give XP, so it’snot a bad idea to defeat them agian). There is a quick path almost straight forward and linear if you have unlocked all the shortcuts on the planet.
