Dragonborn Ascendant
Premise: When Rhaegar won the battle at the Trident, he also successfully negotiated a peace with the rebelling lords, but unfortunately, his family was shattered, leaving him with only his sons, mother and siblings left alive. In order to keep them all safe, he sent all but his eldest son to distant reaches of the world. Now, seventeen years later, he has begun to call them home.
Required Inclusions:
- Prince Rhaegar Targaryen must succeed in winning the Battle of the Trident, and in doing so, secure the Kingdom of Westeros on behalf of House Targaryen.
- To this end, he must also make peace with the vast majority of those lords which rebelled against House Targaryen during what has become known as Robert’s Rebellion.
- Unfortunately, Rhaegar’s father decided to kill one of his wives and daughter, which wound up getting Aerys killed by one of the men sworn to protect him, leaving Rhaegar’s family shattered.
- In a bid to protect his surviving family, Rhaegar will send Rhaella and his siblings to Essos, while also sending his youngest son, Daeron, to live with his Uncle Eddard in Winterfell.
- Unfortunately, it will later be discovered that Aegon has similar health problems to his mother, and is unable to sire children, which will cause all sorts of political problems.
- Eighteen years later, after his eldest son dies, Rhaegar I Targaryen will come to Winterfell to request that Eddard become his Hand, and that his younger son return to King’s Landing.
- Meanwhile, he will also send word for his siblings, the Prince Viserys and Princess Daenerys, to return to Westeros so that a marriage can be enacted between Dany and Prince Daeron.
- This will happen whilst the remaining Baratheon brothers, the Lannisters and the Greyjoys each plot to seize the Iron Throne for themselves.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Tyrion Lannister should still form the odd friendship that he had with Jon Snow in canon, even though the version of Jon in this story will know who he truly is right from the start.
- Viserys should either suffer a similar fate to the one he was exposed to in canon, or else he should have been born as a girl, who can complete the “Three Headed Dragon” prophecy.
- Dany’s return to Westeros should be made in the company of a trio of newly hatched dragons, and one of those dragons should form a bond with Daeron.
- There should be at least a year between when Rhaegar calls Daeron back to King’s Landing, and when the young Prince ascends to the Iron Throne.
Optional Inclusions:
- The children of Cersei and Jaime Lannister from the canonical series could still exist in this story, though they may be recognized for what they actually are.
- Daeron could end up with a harem, though if he does, then it should include women who will be loyal to him, instead of the sort who would attempt to stab him in the back.
Forbidden Things:
- Rhaegar or Aemon being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Rhaegar or Aemon, the pathetic emo doormats.

Complications
- Awakening the Dragon: As should be obvious, Viserra has a remarkably violent temper, and it would be a fool's errand to tick her off.
- Honor: Viserra refuses to ever become a victim again, and will not allow others to be victimized while they are in her presence. It's for this reason that she followed in the footsteps of Queen Visenya Targaryen and her own Goodsister, the late Queen Lyanna Targaryen (née Stark), by becoming rather adept with a sword.
- Motivation: Logic: Viserra likes to learn the capabilities and weaknesses of her enemies before she even begins to consider facing them on the field of battle. After all, the last thing she wants is to face an enemy that happens to be armed with Scorpions, as such weapons have been known to kill dragons.
- Power Loss: Viserra can only activate her Berserker Rage four times before she must spend at least eight hours expending no more energy than it takes to sleep peacefully. Furthermore, she can only remain in her enraged state for a maximum of one minute (10 rounds) before it automatically shuts off. It will also end early if she's knocked unconscious or fails to attack someone for more than a single round.
- Quirk: Viserra likes to read and memorize poetry, since she has found it has the ability to keep her calm and brings her fleeting moments of happiness. She also keeps her thoughts and any discoveries she makes in a journal that she believes will become a priceless relic once she passes from this world.
- Troubled Past: Despite what you may be thinking, Viserra is not insane. What she is, however, is a troubled young woman who was exposed to the madness of her father, the late King Aerys Targaryen the Second, at far too young an age. As such, she now has to deal with all the psychological trauma he put her through, and she's not coping with it very well.

Premise: Somehow, Harry Potter found himself awakening in a new reality not long after he had died in his original lifetime. He didn’t really want to think about how this had occurred, all that mattered was that the people of this reality were referring to him as Jaime Lannister, and that he was now entrenched in the Game of Thrones as the firstborn son of Tywin Lannister!
Required Inclusions:
- Somehow, Harry Potter must be reincarnated as the firstborn son of Tywin Lannister, which means that he is reborn as none other than Jaime Lannister.
- The exact timing of Harry’s awakening as Jaime Lannister will be left up to the author, but it must occur before Jaime swears the oath that would make him a member of the Kingsguard.
- Furthermore, in this scenario, Jaime, who is actually Harry Potter, must refrain from joining the Kingsguard, and must, as a result, honor his betrothal to Lysa Tully.
- Jaime must figure out a way by which to secure his financial prospects that will be independent from the mines that are located beneath Casterly Rock, since those are close to emptying.
- Jaime must be capable of the same ruthlessness that he is known for in canon, as well as a surprising amount of mercy that harkens back to his prior existence as Harry Potter.
- Cersei must be far more overt in her efforts to seduce Jaime, which could cause all manner of problems for the twins, and it is up to the author to decide whether or not Jaime humors her.
- In case it wasn’t entirely obvious, Jaime must succeed Tywin as the Lord of Casterly Rock in this scenario, with Lysa eventually becoming the Lady of Casterly Rock.
- Harry, as Jaime Lannister, must succeed in winning Lysa’s affections away from Petyr Baelish, though it is up to the author to decide how he accomplishes this task.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Jaime should have a surprisingly good relationship with his younger brother, and may even accompany him on his journey to Castle Black at the start of the canonical events.
- The fact that Jaime is not a member of the King’s Guard should have a drastic effect upon the outcome of Robert’s Rebellion, though what that effect actually is will be left up to the author.
- Jaime should save the life of his mother, Joanna Lannister, when she’s on Death’s doorstep after the birth of her youngest son, saving Tyrion from much of their father’s ire.
- Gerion Lannister should succeed in locating Brightroar, which he should bestow upon Jaime after he returns to the Westerlands following his journey to the Valyrian Freehold.
Optional Inclusions:
- In the event that Aerys succeeds in setting King’s Landing ablaze in Wildfire, then the Capital of Westeros could be moved to either a rebuilt Harrenhal or Summerhall.

Complications
- Animal Whisperer: Snakes, and maybe even dragons, seem to have an affinity for Jaime's company, and he really doesn't like to dwell on why this is actually the case.
- Conceited: Jaime is too confident in his own abilities, and as a result, suffers a Minor (-2) penalty on his Initiative checks (This penalty is already accounted for).
- Motivation: Compassion: Jaime feels compelled to help those in need, even in spite of what his father may think, or any differences that may exist between himself and those who he is aiding.
- Oathsworn: Jaime has sworn to always fight the greater evil in the face of enemy opposition, to give no mercy to those who are truly wicked, to defeat his enemies by any means necessary, and to provide aid to those who have been harmed by the misdeeds of the villains of this world.

The Courtier Class is a Non-Magical Bard variant that is detailed in the Player's Guide to the World of Xoth for DnD 5e, which can be found here. I will warn everyone that the book in question is very NSFW as it uses the same sort of art that you could expect to find in an old school Conan comic book or illustrated novel, although it is entirely Black and White in terms of what art is present in the book. This book is also where I've getting some of the complications and racial traits for my more recent Game of Thrones builds, though I am doing a bit of mix-and-matching for this purpose.

- Enemies: Shaena's worst enemy in the entire world is none other than the man who sired her: King Aerys Targaryen, the Second of His Name. It would also be a good idea for her to consider the young Lord, Robert Baratheon, as another of her enemies, since he feels nothing but animosity for the House of Targaryen.
- Entitlement: Shaena sometimes uses her royal title to intimidate people into giving her goods that she otherwise wouldn't be able to get ahold of.
Motivation: Keeper of Order: Shaena feels that it is her personal duty to ensure that her family's legacy and traditions endure throughout the ages.
- Power Loss: Shaena will be unable to cast her spells if she is prevented from moving her hands or speaking any relevant incantations.
- Relationship: Shaena's dearest friend is known only as Brynna, and she is one of the many "Little Birds" who provide illicit information to Varys the Spider. Naturally, this friendship is one that could easily bite Shaena in the derriere.
- Secret: Shaena likes to join her elder brother when he sneaks out of the Red Keep in order to sing songs for the unwashed masses of King's Landing, but knows that this is something she has to keep to herself, lest she be punished for acting in a way that is unbecoming of a Princess.

Whatever It Takes
Premise: Due to the admixture of several different, unidentified, potions along with a prompt attempt at Apparition, Harry Potter has found himself, not dying, but rather transported to another reality, one which is inhabited by beautiful people with silver hair that like to ride through the air on the backs of dragons!
Required Inclusions:
- Ten to fifteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry Potter will be engaged in battle against a mad man who is seeking entry into the Department of Mysteries.
- After the conclusion of that battle, the mad man will manage to gain his freedom for just long enough to fire off a curse at Harry’s back, only it hits a shelf full of potions.
- Harry must successfully Apparate away from the impending potion catastrophe, but not before his magic mixes with that of the potions, causing an odd reaction to occur.
- When Harry regains consciousness, he’ll be in the presence of a beautiful young woman with silvery-blonde hair that answers to the name of Rhaenyra Targaryen.
- Harry and Rhaenyra must eventually marry one another, which is allowed simply because his Parseltongue enabled Harry to bond with either Vermithor or the Cannibal.
- Furthermore, when Rhaenyra becomes Queen, Harry must become not only her King Consort, but also the Hand of the Queen that serves on her Small Council.
- Harry’s presence in Westeros during that time period must either prevent the Dance of the Dragons, or he must help to end it swiftly, preventing it from causing too much damage.
- Afterwards, Harry must help Rhaenyra in making Westeros an even greater realm than it was before by using his vast knowledge of magic to make it so that the Realm truly prospers.
- To this end, Harry must retain full use of his magic, which must be considerably more powerful than what Melisandre was capable of during the War of the Five Kings.
- Harry must be more powerful, knowledgeable, and less dependent on others due to the amount of time he spent traveling and learning in the years after the Battle of Hogwarts.
- Harry must have secretly kept all three of the Deathly Hallows following the Battle of Hogwarts, though what he does with them is up to the author’s discretion.
- Harry must be Rhaenyra’s first true romantic interest, and unlike in canon, she will remain loyal to him, meaning that any children they have will be Trueborn.
- It must be impossible for Harry to return to his original reality without knowing the exact composition of the potions that sent him to Westeros, along with any other variables.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry’s magic should allow him to develop similar abilities to the Greenseers of Westeros, due solely to the fact that he was an Animagus in his original lifetime.
- Harry should have the ability to live for centuries, if not millennia, since that is something which seems to be possible in Potterverse; bonus points if this can be extended to his lovers.
- In addition to Rhaenyra, Harry should end up becoming romantically involved with a much younger Melisandre, Alicent Hightower, and/or anyone else that the author prefers.
- Harry should undertake an excursion to the northern reaches of Westeros so that he can investigate the rumors that exist about Wargs and Greenseers and their ability to use magic.
- To go along with the last idea, Rhaenyra should accompany Harry on this journey, and, in a flight of fancy, show off her family’s near total immunity to the arctic chill with some vapor wear.
- In addition to retaining his Parseltongue abilities, Harry should gain advanced magical knowledge by absorbing the memories once contained in the Scarcrux.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could initially be reluctant to return Rhaenyra’s affections due to the fact that she is considerably younger than he will be in this scenario.
- Harry’s possession and mastery of the Deathly Hallows could render him functionally immortal, or else so incredibly long lived as to make it so that dying of old age is no longer a concern.
- If Harry becomes romantically involved with a Red Priestess, then he should know of a way by which to restore her ability to have viable offspring.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry undergoing a process of reincarnation.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.
- Harry having a magical Animagus form.
- Harry undergoing a genderswap.
