Has worked great for me. A few calls slip thru occasionally. And some are with my name, number

Greatest thing since sliced bread! Every time we hear 'one ring' we high five each other and break out in a big smile. Thank you.....thank you.

I am selecting 10 because I am assuming it is working as advertised. One of the problems with something like Nomorobo is that there really isn't a control to tell how well it is working. I am pretty sure I am still getting robocalls, certainly around the elections and at other times. What I don't know is how many less I am getting because of Nomorobo. I think ti is a great idea and I hope it is working as advertised. The only way I could no for sure is if I did not get any of these calls and I do not think that is the case.

I have recommended it to several friends and family. It has really done well since I installed it. My robocalls are down easily 90% so far. Keep up the good work!

I have Time Warner Digital Phone and several friends, also TWC Digital Phone subscribers, had a problem calling me. They said my phone would ring once or twice and then hangup. I had to disable Nomorobo. I was very pleased with Nomorobo and would activate again if you could resolve my TWC issue.

First off, I just want to say Thank You! While not perfect, Nomorobo is still by far the best thing I have found to help deal with the endless BS calls from the wide assortment of scumbags and scammers who chose to torment us with their useless and unwanted calls at all hours of the day and night. Yes, some calls get through, until those numbers end up getting caught by Nomorobo, but this is a small price to pay for the peace of mind and lack of aggravation that is gained by the majority of calls being intercepted. As an individual with mobility issues, I can't express how much better it is with Nomorobo, to not have to jump up every time the phone rings, thinking it may be a call from family or friends, only to find out it was some d*ckhead from 1000 miles away, trying to con me into buying an extended automobile warranty or some other crap-tastic scam. I can now calmly wait to see if the call gets rejected after the first ring, before having to struggle to reach the phone, knowing that in most instances that call will be a legitimate call. The Nomorobo service has been extremely effective for us, and I tell others about it all the time. I hope that this service remains free of charge, as I feel that it is an added insult to have to pay for a service to keep from being harassed, scammed, and otherwise being victimized by the low life's of the world who chose the telephone as their weapon of choice to assault their victims. To be charged for the Nomorobo service, well, I liken that to having to pay for the police to show up at your house when a similar attempt at scamming you has been made in person. Please, continue to keep this service free for the benefit of all, I'm sure there is a way for you to monetize Nomorobo, without placing that burden on it's users. Again, thank you for the Nomorobo service, I can't express how much it has helped to keep the tele-scum at bay in our household!

What happens if you ignore debt collector calls? ›

Also, if the debt collector is collecting a valid debt, avoiding or ignoring their call usually won't make them go away – they may instead find other ways to collect the money from you, including by filing a lawsuit.

What not to say to debt collectors? ›

Don't provide personal or sensitive financial information

Never give out or confirm personal or sensitive financial information – such as your bank account, credit card, or full Social Security number – unless you know the company or person you are talking with is a real debt collector.

What's the worst a debt collector can do? ›

Debt collectors cannot harass or abuse you. They cannot swear, threaten to illegally harm you or your property, threaten you with illegal actions, or falsely threaten you with actions they do not intend to take. They also cannot make repeated calls over a short period to annoy or harass you.

Is it bad to call a debt collector back? ›

How do I know if I am being scammed by a debt collector? ›

What debt collectors don't want you to know? ›

Debt collectors don't want you to know that you can make them stop calling, they can't do most of what they tell you, payment deadlines are phony, threats are inflated, and they can't find out how much you have in the bank. Furthermore, if you're out of state, they may have no legal recourse to collect.

How many phone calls is considered harassment from a debt collector? ›

Creditors can't call you more than seven times in 7 days or call you again about the debt within seven days of the last call. If the debt collector calls you more than once a day or keeps calling even when you talk to them on the phone, they are probably harassing you.

Under the federal FDCPA, if you request that a debt collector stop contacting you completely, it must do so, subject to a few exceptions. Your request must be in writing.

Will a debt collector sue me for $500? ›

Collection agencies usually won't sue you for a debt of less than $500. While every collection agency has a different policy regarding debt lawsuits, you should feel reasonably safe from a legal claim if you owe less than $500 on a debt. However, if you receive a court summons from a collection agency, don't ignore it.

What happens if you never respond to a debt collector? ›

Not responding to a properly served lawsuit – even if you're unsure whether you owe the debt – can result in the court issuing a judgment against you, which could limit your ability to dispute the debt, even if it's already been paid or you don't owe it.

What is the loophole of debt collection? ›

Debt collectors lose the right in many states to sue consumers after three or more years. But there's a loophole: If the consumer makes a payment, even against his or her own will, that can be used to try to revive the life of the debt.

What to say to bill collectors to stop calling? ›

If you want a debt collector to stop contacting you, the FDCPA gives you the right to make that happen. Putting your request in writing, via a cease-and-desist letter, is an easy and effective option to stop the communication.
